Bresca - 'Brisca' in Spanish, 'Briscula' in Italian or 'Briškula' in Croatian - is a very popular card game in numerous European countries. It is a game for 2 to 4 players which utilises a 40-card deck. Players must not follow suit rule.

Players receive three cards at the start of each round. The uppermost card in the stock is revealed and then placed under the entire stock at a 90 degree angle to the stock. That way, half of the card is left visible. This card sets the trump suit. The winner of the previous round starts off the next round by playing a card to the trick on the table. After each player has added to the trick, the player who has played the highest trump suit card wins the trick.

The aim of the game is to obtain the most points by winning tricks.
